Example 01 · Renovation contractor
You don't have a lead problem. You have a losing-leads problem.
The problem
A remodeling contractor is getting more inquiries than he can answer. Calls come in while he is on a roof. Some emails get a reply the same day, some get one on Thursday, some never do. He has said yes to jobs an hour outside his service area and yes to jobs too small to be worth the truck roll, while a forty-thousand-dollar kitchen sat unanswered in a voicemail box. Nobody in the business can tell you which inquiries were worth the most, because nobody ever wrote them down in one place.
What I would build
- One intake point that catches every lead from the phone, the website, email, and social
- Automatic extraction of the details that matter: job type, address, scope, timeline, budget signals
- Scoring and ranking so the best opportunity is the first thing he sees at lunch
- Flags for urgent and high-value jobs that should get a call back within the hour
- A bucket for work that is a poor fit for him but worth handing to a trusted sub, so the relationship and the referral fee stay with him
- Follow-up that fires on its own instead of depending on him remembering
Why this one matters
Almost every marketing company would sell this contractor more leads. That is the wrong product. He is already drowning. The fix is not volume, it is triage.
