First Coast Group helps small businesses figure out what technology they actually need, put it in place, connect it, and get more out of it — so you can run leaner, look after customers better, and keep growing.
Or start smaller. The first 30 minutes are free, in person or on video. Book it
And yes — we can build you a website just like this one, and teach you to use the tools behind it. Have a look

What we work on
The technology isn’t the goal. Your business is.
Every recommendation has to pass one test: does this make the business measurably better? If the honest answer is no, I will not recommend it — even when I would be the one getting paid to build it.
Most small businesses do not have a technology problem so much as a pile-up. Tools got added one at a time, each for a good reason, and nobody ever stepped back to look at the whole thing. It usually looks like this:
None of that means anybody did anything wrong. It means the business grew faster than the plan behind its tools. That is fixable, and it is most of what we do.
A lot of the companies on this coast have been in the same family for two or three generations. You know your trade. Your customers know your name. You earned all of it.
Then a newer outfit shows up with half your experience and better software. They answer the phone faster. They text a quote while you are still driving back to the office. They show up first when somebody searches. And they start taking your work.
That is not a fair fight, and it should not be the reason you lose a customer you have had for fifteen years.
We live here. We want the family-run companies on the First Coast to still be here in twenty years. Getting your technology right is one of the ways that happens, and it costs a lot less than most people think.

St. Augustine Beach. Some of my garden, home, and the reason most of our client list is people we can drive to.
Plan before you buy. Set it up properly before you try to improve it. Use AI where it earns its place and nowhere else. Then, once the inside of the business runs well, help the outside of it get found.
Understand what you have. Build a better plan.
Turn the plan into something that works.
Use AI where it genuinely helps you.
Keep it working as the business grows.
Get found by the people already looking for you.
A site that works, and pages people can actually reach you through.
Or we teach you to do it yourself.
You are looking at one of ours. We built every page of it, and we can build yours the same way — simple and clear, or with every feature you can think of. Whichever the business actually needs.
And it does not stop at the website. Picture somebody tapping a link on your Facebook page and being in a conversation with your business thirty seconds later, at nine at night, with a real person on the other end. That is the one thing a national chain cannot copy, and most local businesses give it away by being hard to reach.
Three clear pages and a phone number if that is all you need. Booking, quotes, payments, customer logins and dashboards if the business genuinely uses them.
Your website, Facebook, Instagram and Google listing all put a real person one message away, day or night.
An instant, human-sounding acknowledgment goes out, then a real person picks it up. Nobody waits until Monday.
Hosting, updates, listings and the things that break. One phone number instead of four vendors blaming each other.
You do not need a project. Plenty of people come to us with no business problem at all — they just want to understand what all of this is, what it can do for them, and how not to get taken for a ride. That is a perfectly good reason to call.
So we put an hour on the calendar, every week or every other week, and work through whatever you brought. No jargon, no rushing, and nobody talking down to you.
Half of every session is safety, because that is the half nobody teaches. Cloned voices. Fake photos and video. A text that looks like it came from your bank, or your grandson. Posts written by a machine to make you angry. Once you know what the tricks look like, they stop working on you — and that is worth more than any software we could sell you.
This is not only for retirees, by the way. Plenty of people in their forties and fifties are quietly guessing at this too, and would rather ask somebody patient than ask their kids.
Every other Thursday at ten, or whatever suits you. Same person each time, so you never have to start over explaining what you are working on. An hour, at your kitchen table or on video.
A letter to the VA. An insurance appeal. A medical form. The HOA newsletter. A job application. Twelve years of photos nobody can find anything in. You bring what is actually in front of you and we work on that.
Cloned voices. Fake photos and video. Messages that look like they came from your bank, your grandson, or Medicare. Posts made by a machine. Once you know what the tricks look like, they stop working on you.
Not a call center and not a chatbot. Somebody from around here who knows the area, remembers what you talked about last time, and is glad to see you again.
You will not be made to feel foolish. Not once. That is the whole reason people keep coming back, and it is the reason they send their friends.
Most of the value here is not writing software. It is asking the right questions, working out what is really going on, and then finding the shortest honest way to fix it. Sometimes that is a big build. Very often it is not.
No technical language needed. “Thursdays are a mess” is a perfectly good place to start.
What you notice is usually a symptom. The cause is normally one step upstream of it.
Tools, vendors, real prices, what other companies your size actually use, and what it would take. This is the part you are paying for.
Usually three: the cheap fix, the right fix, and the one that changes how the business runs. Including the times the answer is to buy nothing.
Whoever that job actually needs, arranged and managed by us, so you keep one phone number.
If you did not get hours back or money back, it is not finished.
That last one is the part most firms will not say out loud, because there is no invoice attached to it. We say it anyway. It is the reason people call us back.
Four ways to work together, from free to fully hired. You know every price before any work starts, and you only move up a step when you can see why.
Free · 30 minutes
Coffee here in St. Augustine, or a video call if that is easier. You tell us what is not working. We ask questions. Nobody sells you anything.
Free every time. Not a trial offer, and not a sales call.
$300
We spend an hour together on your business. Then we go do the research and come back with a written report you could act on tomorrow, with or without us.
Credited back in full if you hire us within 30 days. Add $200 and we turn it around the same day.
Quoted for your business
We come into your business and look at all of it: your people, how work moves, your software, your data, your systems and your equipment. You get a plan you own.
A fixed price, agreed before we start, at market-friendly competitive rates. Your briefing fee comes off the total.
Quoted for your business
When you want it built, not just planned. Most jobs are scoped to be finished inside two weeks, at a fixed price you agreed to before anything started.
Ongoing help is quoted month to month. Leave any time with 30 days’ notice.
Beyond the briefing, work is quoted job by job, because no two businesses need the same thing. For comparison, firms that do this work usually charge $2,000 to $5,000 just to look at your business and $150 to $350 an hour after that. We quote against those numbers, not above them. How pricing works
Not sure what your business actually needs? We look at what you have now, how you work, and where you want to be, then show you where technology would help you and where it would only cost you money.
What we look at
This works. Leave it alone and spend your money somewhere else.
This is holding the business back and it is time for something better.
These two systems should be talking to each other, and they are not.
A machine should be doing this, not one of your people.
You are missing something that would make a real difference.
Somebody is selling you this and you do not need it.
This one is deliberately ordinary. It is also the single most common thing we fix.
About twenty minutes of somebody's attention per lead, and a real chance of losing it.
Under a minute of anybody's attention, and the customer heard from you before your competitor picked up the phone.
The technology behind that might be automation, AI, connecting two systems, better software, or all four. It matters less than you would think. What matters is that catching a lead stops depending on somebody noticing it in time.
This is not a one-man shop. Sam Cornell founded First Coast Group and stays your point of contact from the first call to the last, so you are never handed off to a stranger who has to be brought up to speed.
Behind him is a team we bring in as the work demands: technology advisors who work day to day inside the largest technology companies in the world, consultants from national firms, and working software engineers. You get the attention of a small firm and the reach of a much bigger one, and you never pay for people you are not using.
Some jobs sit outside what we do well. When that happens we will tell you straight, and then connect you with the right people and help you ask them the right questions. We would rather send you to the correct person than take your money for a poor fit. That is how you get called back in three years.
Our advisors work with us in an individual capacity. Their employers are not party to your engagement and are not named here for that reason.
We build with AI all the time and we are good at it. We are also the people who will ask what you are actually trying to solve before quoting you for it.

St. Augustine, where most of the client list is. Perspective is most of the job — the thing costing you money is usually one step upstream of the thing you noticed.
These are the trades and professions we see most, along with the problems that come up over and over. If yours is not on the list, that is not a no. It just means we have not written the page yet.

Sam is a University of Florida graduate finishing an MBA in IT Management. He is the person you talk to, and he stays responsible for how your project turns out.
His background is operations. Five years coordinating people, transport, facilities and deadlines that could not be moved taught him where complicated organizations actually break down, and it is almost never that people are working too slowly. It is work handed from one person to another and dropped, information that does not travel, jobs done twice because nobody could see they were already done, and systems that will not talk to each other.
Small businesses break in exactly the same places. There are just fewer people around to catch it before the customer notices. That is the whole idea behind this firm.
He lives in St. Augustine Beach, works in English and Spanish, and answers his own phone.
We are a technology consulting firm for small and growing businesses. We help you work out what technology you actually need, choose it, set it up, connect it to what you already have, and get more out of it. That covers software selection, connecting systems, automating repetitive work, AI, websites, custom tools, local advertising, and teaching your people how to use all of it.
Maybe not, and we will tell you either way. AI is genuinely very good at some things: reading messy paperwork, drafting letters that sound like you, sorting incoming requests, and answering questions about your own documents. It is a bad and expensive answer to a problem that is really about how the work is organized. We will tell you which one you have before you spend anything.
Then we say so. A good share of what we find is a process problem in disguise, and the fix is changing one handoff or removing a step. That advice costs you the price of the conversation and saves you a purchase.
We will tell you, and then we will connect you with the right people and help you ask them the right questions. Sending you to the correct person is better business for us than taking your money for something we are not the best at.
The first conversation is free and always will be. A $300 Technology Briefing gets you an hour together, hours of research on your business, and a written report within a week — and if you hire us afterwards, the $300 comes off the total. Everything beyond that is quoted job by job at market-friendly, competitive rates, agreed in writing before any work starts. You will never get an invoice you did not approve first.
